What maintenance covers, season by season
Every maintenance plan tracks the Piedmont calendar. Here is the work in each season.
Spring
March to May- Cut back perennials and prune summer bloomers
- Fresh mulch and pre-emergent across the beds
- First mow, edging, and bed reshaping
Summer
June to August- Deadhead and shape borders every two weeks
- Check drip irrigation and adjust run times
- Spot-treat weeds and refresh annual color
Fall
September to November- Aerate and overseed cool-season lawns
- Plant trees and shrubs while the soil is warm
- Leaf cleanup and cut back spent growth
Winter
December to February- Dormant pruning of trees and hedges
- Draw next year's beds and hardscape
- Protect tender plants and check drainage
